We are a privately owned company that provides storage, and multiple services for the Dangerous Goods & Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Bulk Storage, General Storage, and Cold & temperature controlled storage markets.

With multiple warehouse in 3 strategically located around the Rio de Janeiro bay, Vatis has versatile structure of warehouses, and open-air storage.

Samir Carvalho

Director

Samir is an entrepreneur who grew three separate businesses from start-up to successful companies in Rio de Janeiro market through his holistic vision, effective business planning, creative sales techniques, and finance skills. Samir graduated in Business Administration, Postgraduated in Logistics and Finance. Samir brings invaluable knowledge in structuring operations and over 15 years experience in logistics companies. Recognized by clients and colleagues as a consummate professional with a high degree of personal integrity. Known for a contagious passion for business, a talent for resourceful business solutions, and a capacity for motivational leadership.

Alexandre Freitas

Financial Officer

Alexandre holds a degree in Economics from UFF, and MBA in Finance and Management from IBMEC – RJ. Selected and certified by the Ecole Polytechnique to the “Magellan” International Project in Paris for Development and Preparation of young CEOs that took 2 years of intensive sharing experience among young manages of several nationalities. He has started his Career in PwC as a Systems & Process Auditor. In Baker Hughes (Big three Oil Services), as a Financial Controller, he has joined projects to implement the SOX internal controls in Brazil, Italy and Angola and the SAP ERP in Latin-America (Brazil and Argentine) being recognized by his key contribution for this Organization. CEO/CFO in Lafarge Aluminates/Kerneos where he has raised the Operation Standards by re-designing the ERP, internal controls, Quality, Safety and Environment Systems getting the ISO 9001, ISO 14.001 and OSHAS 18.001 Certifications. The 22 years’ experience in High Standards Operations resulted in a solid experience in transversal management among processes and people. Team Builder, enthusiastic about innovation and Collaborative Economy. he joined the largest network of Impact Entrepreneurship as Co-founder of Impact Hub Rio de Janeiro, also mentoring and accelerating start-ups like “Clube Organico”, “Bizu”, “Coco Legal”. His last social economic project created and performed 2016 called “Embarca no Porto – RJ” has created the connection between Senior Entrepreneurs and Young Entrepreneurs selected inside “Morro da Providencia ” community in order to share experience and accelerate the entrepreneurship in those areas.

Gustavo Lopes

Operations Director

Gustavo holds a degree in Transport Engineering from UFRJ, having a Master’s degree from COPPE and a MBA from IBMEC. He has more than fifteen years experience in the Logistics area, working in Value Chain, Projects and Operations. Gustavo masters management techniques and application of quality tools such as PDCA and Six Sigma. His vast experience in process restructuring and large project management contributed to his holistic and structured supply chain vision. In short, he has a strong sense of planning, leadership skills and believes in the continued development of teams focused on operational excellence as a priority to achieve exceptional results.

Felipe Pereira

Facilities

Felipe holds a degree in System Analysis, having a MBA from FGV-RJ in IT Strategic Management. He has more than 10 years’ experience in Project Management in IT and Industrial area. Felipe has management techniques of quality such as Internal Auditor in ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 and Project Management. IT and Industrial Performance Manager in Lafarge Aluminates/Kerneos where he has implemented the Local IT Standards and party of the Global IT team to design to the Global IT Operational and Security Standards. Certified at Sungard in IT Disaster Recovery and BCP (Business Continue Plan). Achieved a high level at Industrial Performance standards by re-designing the internal controls and process to ensure and merge the Global Industrial Process align. In Industrial Performance he was responsible to design and implement Siemens PLC S7 System to control and ensure security and reliability of the Production Process.
Felipe also has certification in Cobit 5 Foundations, ITIL Foundations and Microsoft MCTS (Managing Projects with Microsoft Project).

Aglae Ferreira

Quality systems

Teamwork, dynamism and commitment are the main characteristics developed in 4 years of experience in systems audit, 10 years in telecommunication companies and 4 years in real estate. Working for companies like PricewaterhouseCoopers, Embratel and Oi, she has worked in areas such as services development and deployment, portfolio management, customer care, internal controls and quality systems, being responsible for getting ISO 9001 and PBQP-H certifications. She holds degree in Computer Systems Analysis from UERJ, a MBA in Marketing from FGV-RJ and a MBA in Services Management from ESPM-RJ. She is also a certified international systems auditor (CISA) and has the Six Sigma certifications, Green Belt and Black Belt.

Euricério Filho

Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Manager

Euricério Filho: Graduated in Business Administration, with an MBA in Total Quality Management and on-going Master in Management Systems at Latec/UFF. Professional with more than 10 years of experience with big companies in the field of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management, today work as business and project manager at QSMS-PRO Treinamentos implementing specialized QHSE projects in the field of business education/T&D and consultancy for companies in Brazil and abroad. He is also a business Coach, lecturer and professor at the universities of Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais. Affiliated to CREA-RJ, CRA-RJ, ABPM and ATD, also member of Brazilian quality and environmental ISO committees ABNTCB25 and CB38 for ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 revision project.

Alexandre Faour

Operational Manager

Professional with an excess of 15 years experience in Iron and Steel, Mining, Energy and Retail segments companies. Alexander graduated in Production Engineering from the Fluminense Federal University and with Specialization in Negotiation by Fundação Getúlio Vargas. As a Gerdau executive where he worked for 16 years, he was responsible for the commercial and operational management of port logistics for export, import and cabotage at ports and terminals that Gerdau operated in Brazil. He stands out for the high commitment with quality and requirement in the execution of tasks. Married with two children, he is a healthy eating enthusiast and passionate about running. Faour usually says, “Do it well the first time so you do not have to do it again.”

Christian Sandke

Consultant / Advisor / Account Manager

Christian Sandke has 22 years experience, developing and running logistics business and operations. He holds a degree in Production Engineer from PUC – Rio de Janeiro and a post degree in Logistics from COPPEAD. He had the opportunity to work in most supply chain areas, including manufacturing, production planning, warehousing, distribution and freight forwarding.
At Wilson Sons, he led the Logistics Business Division, deploying and managing multi-client terminals and dozens of in-house outsourced operations.
As an innovation enthusiast, Christian developed two technology startups, Logpartners and Global Pipeline, for the optimization of transportation and international logistics processes.

At Vatis his responsibilities includes advisory in business development and account management.
